项目摘要

高度なグローバル人材が求められる現代社会において，コミュニケーション・ツールとしての多言語を自在に使いこなし，深い相互理解と問題解決を可能とする人材育成としての多言語教育が注目されている。しかし、従来のマルチリンガルの複数言語学習の研究においては，学習方法や学習の動機づけといった学び方の側面が注目されることが多く、ことばの学び方の背後に潜む，複数言語を学ぶ意味や学習者にとっての意義といった，複数言語を学ぶ体験の意味および意義の考究を視野に入れた研究の蓄積は未だ不十分である。ことばの学びにおいて重要な点は，ことばを学ぶこと自体の意味を問うこと，すなわち，ことばの学びを通して子どもたちの中にどのような変化が生じるのか，またそうした子どもたちの変化を通して親たちがどう変わっていくのか，に着目した考究が重要である。そうした状況の中，外国にルーツを持ちながら多文化多言語の環境に育つ子どもが存在する。そこで本研究では，４名の在日中国人母親の子どもの複数言語教育経験を対象としている。母国ではない外国である日本に居住しながら，継承語の中国語と韓国語を含む複数言語の習得を望む母親の語りから，子どもの幼少期から現在に至る年月のなかで，どのようにことばの学びを促してきたのか，その過程で何が起こったか，といった言語教育体験に加えて，そうした体験が親にとってどのような経験であったのか，なぜ複数言語の学びを求めるのか，更に，そうしたことばの学びを子どもと親がどのようにとらえたのか，について詳細に記述することを目的とする。2022年度は、調査対象者の家庭を訪問し、インタビュー調査を実施した。分析の結果から、マルチリンガルのことばの学びは，こどもの将来とのつながり，職業とのつながり，人とのつながり，そして自分自身とのつながり，といった，学びの意味の多様性を持つ点が見いだされた。
