项目摘要

2022年度の主な研究成果は以下の3点である。1点目は、グループ会話を利用した介入法の効果が左の前頭領域などの白質線維の微細構造にあらわれている可能性を示した論文が、加齢神経科学の国際学術雑誌に掲載されたことである。本研究では、介入後に取得した介入群と統制群の拡散強調画像を解析し、拡散異方性などの指標を群間で比較した。その結果、前述の領域などにおいて有意な差が認められた。2点目は、高齢者の社会的比較志向性が認知や脳の状態とどのように関連しているかを明らかにした成果である。社会的比較志向性とは、自己と他者を比較する心理傾向のことを指し、それには意見と能力の二つの次元があるとされている。本研究では、これら二つの次元についての主観的な度合いと、認知機能検査のスコアおよびMRI検査で測られる脳の様々な指標との間の関係を調べた。その結果、意見を比較する傾向が強い高齢者ほど、認知機能検査のスコアが高く、海馬の体積が大きく、安静時の機能的結合が強く、白質線維連絡の拡散異方性が高いことが分かった。一方で、能力を比較する傾向の強さとの間には、これらのような関係は見られなかった。本研究の成果をまとめた論文は社会神経科学の国際学術雑誌に掲載された。3点目は、話し言葉における語彙の豊かさと関連する脳の状態を明らかにした成果である。この研究では、語彙の豊かさを表す指標としてHeaps’ lawと呼ばれるスケーリング則の指数であるβを用いた。高齢者のグループ会話の録音データを基に個人のβの値を算出し、βとMRI検査で測られる脳の様々な指標との間の関係を調べた。その結果、βの値が高い人ほど、意味処理に関連する左中側頭回前部の体積が大きく、この領域とデフォルト・モード・ネットワークのコア領域である楔前部の安静時の機能的結合が弱いことが分かった。この成果をまとめた論文は神経言語学の国際学術雑誌に掲載された。
