令和４年度は企業の出社停止・制限が緩和され、さまざまな調査によると東京のオフィス出社率は平均で６割を超えたといわれている。一方で、リモートワーク・テレワークも確実に定着していることも指摘されている。とくに本研究が対象とする渋谷で働くクリエイティブワーカーについてはコロナ禍以前に比べてワークスタイルが多様化しており、本研究もそうした状況の変化に対応して設計を変更する必要があるが、昨年度は情報の収集等に終始し、クリエイティブワーカーの働き方について、実際に調査を企画、実施することができなかった。一方、再開発を契機としたコミュニティの変化については、再開発によって創出された公共空間を活用して新たに生まれた地域の祭りを対象として、実行委員会に参加しおもに参与観察の形で調査を進めている。再開発の事業者や自治体が、地域の住民や小規模事業者を主体とする地元に働きかけて彼らの主体的な取り組みを引き出し、近隣の大学も巻き込んで産・学・官・地元の４者一体でまちづくりを進めている実態を調べ、再開発の計画段階から地域のまちづくりの拠点形成のために設置された公共空間に「魂を入れる」のための取り組みを明らかにした。調査内容の一部は2022年８月に開催されたシンポジウム（日欧ミーティング「渋谷川魂」川のエコヒストリーとスピリチャリティ）で報告したほか、2023年９月に刊行予定の地域学に関する本（共著）に掲載される予定である。
