2022年度は,前年度に実施した若年層の住宅アフォーダビリティと家族形成に関する調査（日本調査）の分析を引き続き行うとともに,イギリス調査を企画・実施した。2023年3月にロンドン首都圏に居住する25歳～39歳の男女1,200名（イギリス国籍を保有）を対象としてWEBアンケートを実施した。調査項目は,個人や世帯の属性,家計における住居費負担,住宅取得の詳細，現住宅の状況（建て方や室数など）や満足度,住宅に関する考え方，家族形成の状況や意向などである。家賃や住宅ローンを支払っている回答者のうち,可処分所得の４割以上を住居費に支払っている割合は全体で15.3％を占め,とくに民間賃貸住宅の場合は32.4％と高くなっている。住居費の負担感は,「かなり負担に感じている（27.1％）」と「やや負担に感じている（61.3％）」をあわせて,負担を感じている割合は約９割を占める。過去１年以内における「家賃」滞納の発生は「自治体や住宅協会の賃貸住宅」で25.4％,「民間賃貸住宅」で18.0％と高く,「持ち家（住宅ローンあり）」でも「住宅ローン」滞納が9.4％みられた。コロナ禍による所得の不安定や物価高も影響していると考えられる。これまでイギリスは,早期の離家や住宅取得を特徴としていたが,親と同居する若者や住宅取得が困難な若者が増えていることが指摘されている。本調査の回答者では,親との同居率は22.9％を占めた。また、住宅を取得していない回答者では,住宅取得ができない,またはできるかどうか分からないとする割合が約５割を占めた。コロナ禍以後,低出生率の問題も指摘されているが,本調査で希望子ども数をきいたところ「2人（41.5％）」や「3人（17.3％）」が多かった。日本ほどの少子傾向はみられないが,今後は住宅アフォーダビリティと家族形成の関係について,詳細な分析を進めたい。

The characteristics of early home ownership are as follows: Among respondents to this survey, the cohabitation rate of parents was 22.9%.また、住宅を取得していない回答者では,住宅取得ができない,またはできるかどうか分からないとする割合が约5割を占めた。After the disaster, the problem of low birth rate was criticized. In this survey, the number of children who wanted to be born was "2 (41.5%)" and "3 (17.3%)".
