2022年度は、主として以下の２つに取り組んだ。①住宅困窮の概念・理論の検討：住宅困窮を的確に捉え、実態（量的）把握を行うための手法について検討した。これまで進めてきた住宅困窮の概念や実態把握手法の検討に継続的に取り組むとともに、地方圏における住宅困窮の特性をふまえ、新たな視座を得るために、居住支援協議会へのオブザーバーとしての参加や、居住支援法人を講師とする研究会等に参加した。また、地方圏の住宅困窮を捉えるにあたって今後重要になる立地不利について、とくに都市計画学領域で議論・計画されている立地適正化計画（居住誘導区域の設定）や、医学領域で注目されている地理的剥奪などに着目し、既往研究の収集や概念・指標の整理を行うとともに、利用可能な統計・地理情報データについて検討した。②地方圏における住宅困窮の量的把握：総務省が実施する住宅・土地統計調査、国勢調査、全国家計構造調査（旧全国消費実態調査）の公的統計データを収集し、多次元の住宅困窮の実態をとらえるための検討を行った。今年度はとくに立地不利に着目し、国勢調査の小地域集計を中心とした統計情報の収集、整理を行った。また、住宅ポイントデータ（大分市）を入手し、地理・空間情報を活用した分析について検討した。今年度は、概念・指標の整理や分析に必要な統計・地理情報等の把握や収集、整理にとどまったが、今後の詳細な分析に進むための準備を着実に進めることができた。
