2022年度は、過去２年と比較すると新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響は少なくなっており、研究対象の自治体とのコミュニケーションおよび情報収集という点においては研究を進めることができた。とはいえ、当初の計画よりはいまだ遅れている状況にある。そのため、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大対策により研究が予定通りに進められなかった期間で行う予定だった情報収集を優先的に行った。その一方で、これまでのコロナ感染拡大によって研究対象である自治体での体制や取組みが停止・変更・停滞などの変化がみられ、当初予定していた情報が収集できない状況も生まれていた。そのため、改めて自治体における状況の把握を行いながら、収集・整理すべき（できる）情報を収集し、整理してきた。上記の状況から、当初の研究計画に変更・修正が生じているが、それらを踏まえつつ、現時点での研究成果の報告として、2022年10月に韓国で開催された国際会議において報告を行った。さらに、『日本教育』に成果の一部を寄稿した。また、次年度にも学会において情報提供を予定している（2023年6月）。研究対象の自治体に対するフィードバックとして、2022年10月,2023年2月および3月に研修会を開催し、地域力の評価指標について研究のとりまとめと提言を行った。次年度は、これまでの調査結果の最終とりまとめ及び研究目的である「地域力自己評価・育成モデル」を提示する予定であり、引き続きその準備を進めている。
