本研究は、欧州で普及しているファミリーパートナーシップモデル（Family Partnership Model,以下FPM）に基づく育児支援を、わが国の早期育児支援プログラムとして取り入れ実施し、その有効性について検討することを目的としている。これまで、2018年度の準備期間（文献検討、関連学会への参加による専門知識の深化、関連機関からの情報収集）を経て、2019年度は研究構成員でFPMに基づく育児支援の学習会を開催し、実施予定の研修会の企画に取り組んできた。研究計画の段階では、本研究の研究対象者としてこんにちは赤ちゃん事業に携わっている訪問スタッフを予定していたが、それ以前に訪問スタッフを統括している保健センターの保健師に対して、FPMに基づく育児支援の理解と周知が必要であるとの見解から、研修会の実施を、①保健師、②訪問スタッフにすることとした。保健師への研修会の実施は、連絡調整ののち、2020年1月以降の予定で進めていたが、COVID-19感染の拡大とそれに伴う保健師の対応業務の増大と重なり、実施が困難となった。その後、2021～2022年度においてもCOVID-19感染の流行の波が継続し、実施困難な状況となっている。そのため、2021～2022年度は研究の延長を申請し現在に至っている。2023年度は、開催が滞っているFPMに基づく育児支援に関する研修会の実施と評価を行う予定である。
