本研究は、ケアロボットを用いて認知症高齢者の自発的行動や自律支援を促す研究である。ユマニチュードという一連のケア動作をロボットが取った場合、高齢者の自律行動を高めるような効果的な動作を明らかにし、そのシステムを構築することにある。H30年度は、認知症高齢者の共感や快の感情を高め、自発的行動を促す可能性の高いロボットの動作の検証を行うため、WOZシステムを用いて、まずはロボットが人間のような動きをより自然な形で行い、それらの動作が遠隔操作で行えるように動作設計を行った。その動作設計を用いて介護福祉施設に入所中の高齢者に、特定の動作に対する認知症高齢者の反応の検証を行い、動作や言葉を用いた促しへの効果の調査を行った。また認知症高齢者に対する看護援助やロボットを介した援助における最新の取り組みなどの情報収集を学会や研修等に参加し行った。ユマニチュードへの取り組みとしては、認知症高齢者に対する援助に対し文献調査を行い、また認知症高齢者に対して、人を介して「みる」「話す」「触れる」というユマニチュードの要素を中心に関りその反応を調査に着手した。認知症高齢者のロボットとの関わりにおいては、認知症高齢者のQOL測定の方法にフェイススケールを用い、画像認識システムを活用してロボットが高齢者の表情に対しフェイススケールでその識別が可能となるようなシステムの構築を行った。H30年度の予定として実施日は一日数時間であり検証人数が限られることや健康状態の問題より継続的な検証ができないなど対象者の確保が難しかった。
