项目摘要

本年度は新宿区立愛日小学校で作成したカリキュラムに従って授業を実施した。作成したカリキュラムは、第１回はどのような災害が起きたときにはどのような場所に危険が潜むか、またどのような避難行動を取るべきかについて、座学講義である。第２回目では、第１回目の講義を受けて、どのような場所が災害時に危険かを児童が自ら探すフィールドワークを行う。発見した箇所は携帯したタブレットで写真を撮影し、どのような災害時にどのような危険があるかを紙にメモを取る。紙にメモを取らせる理由は、路上でのタブレット入力は危険であること、また歩きスマホを肯定するようなことを教育するのは良くないためである。教室に戻ってからは、紙でとったメモをタブレットに入力する作業を行う。第３回目では、発見した箇所とその理由を整理し、班ごとに発表、それぞれの班で視点がどのように違うのかを議論する。第４回目ではそれをスライドにまとめ、班ごとに発表をおこなう。以上のようなカリキュラムを実際に実施した。第１回目の講義では座学にも関わらず、児童たちは大変興味深く聞き入っていた。フィールドワークでは、児童たちは自ら積極的に危険箇所を探し、班内で色々な議論を行っていた。また、教室に戻ってからのクラス全体のディスカッションでも、活発な議論と情報共有が行われ、班による視点の違いも認識していた。このように、児童たちは防災について興味を持ったのと同時に、防災時の避難行動についても真剣に考えるようにすることができた。
