项目摘要

ファルムリー版『ヨーガヴァーシシュタ』ペルシア語訳の校訂作業は、ダブリン写本で残り数フォリオを残すのみとなった。2022年度はサンスクリット原典との比較から、ペルシア語訳においてアラビア文字転写された、サンスクリット借用語の同定作業も進めた。校訂作業ではトロント大学のPegah Shahbaz氏にも参加してもらい、出版に向けた詰めの作業を進めている。複数の『ヨーガヴァーシシュタ』ペルシア語訳の思想面での比較という点では、パーニーパティー版、ダーラー・シュコー版のテキストでは、原典で主張されるヴェーダーンタ思想に則り、絶対非限定存在＝ブラフマンと位置づけられていること、これに対してアクバル版では、存在一性論における絶対非限定存在の言及不可能性が貫徹されており、ファルムリーはそれをブラフマンとは呼称しない。様々な学派における根本原理の名称を列挙する箇所において、ヴェーダーンタ学派の見解を数あるうちの一つとして紹介していることが明らかとなった。この点については2022年12月に開催されたインド思想史学会年次大会において口頭発表をした。発表内容については、出版を予定しているファルムリー版の校訂テキストの序文に記載することを考えている。予定した国際会議については、招聘予定の研究者のスケジュールが合わなかったために、今年度も実施できなかった。そのため研究期間をさらに1年間延長することになった。
