项目摘要

本年度（2022）は、（１）海外における研究成果発表、（２）国内における国際的学術交流の2点を中心に行なった。（１）については、コロナ禍のために行えなかった海外渡航がようやく実現し、イスラエルのヘブライ大学にて、英語でゲストレクチャーを行った。内容は、天皇即位儀礼と神宮式年遷宮に祭儀体系の共通性・一体性が存在すること、それを神楽秘曲が明示していることを、令和の大礼と平成25年の神宮式年遷宮の実地調査と文献資料のデータに基づいて論じた。2022年は、日本とイスラエルの外交関係樹立70周年にあたる。そこで、外務省の「日・イスラエル外交関係樹立70周年事業」として認定を得て、同大学で、研究協力者の神職と、奉祝儀礼を行った。（２）については、令和4年度「日英のパフォーマンス、メモリー、文化的な遺産」の日英共同プロジェクトとして、ワークショップを２つ実施した。1つめは、皇學館大学記念講堂にて、イギリスのケント大学の研究者等に、神宮式年遷宮と神楽秘曲について英語で講和を行った。２つめは、ファシリテーター兼通訳として、神職と祝詞のワークショップと神道儀礼のデモンストレーションを行った。ケント大学の研究者等は、儀礼の見学だけでなく、実際に祝詞を奏上する体験もした。本年度の研究活動の特徴は、学術的な研究発表に加えて、民族音楽学者のもう１つの役割である、海外に向けた文化発信活動も国内外でできたことである。特に後者に関しては、対面での国際的学術交流が、コロナ禍のため中断していたからか、「日本文化の体験型学び」が海外のアカデミアで求められていることを実感した。
