项目摘要

男女における就学、就業、奨学金受給の意思決定の違いを明らかにするために、本年度は主に以下の研究を実施した。男女の働き方の違いを明らかにするために、コロナ禍における在宅勤務が主観的厚生や時間配分に与える影響に関する研究を行った。この研究では、個人レベルのパネルデータを用いて、Fixed effect modelおよびDifference-in-Difference estimationによる推計を行い、男女で異なる影響を在宅勤務が与えていることを確認した。この研究成果は、慶應義塾大学パネルデータ設計・解析センターのディスカッションペーパーとして公表された。この研究を通じて、今後の研究を行う上で、以下について進捗が見られた。コロナ禍における在宅勤務は、男性雇用者の主観的厚生を有意に低下させたが、女性雇用者の主観的厚生については有意な影響を確認できなかった。また、男性雇用者の労働時間を減少させ、女性雇用者の家事育児時間を増加させており、家事育児負担が女性に偏っていることを確認した。わが国では、性別役割分業が根強く残っており、そのような環境下において、女性は男性よりも勤労収入を得ることが難しく、奨学金の返還が難しくなることが考えられる。このことから、女性の働きにくい状況をモデル内に取り込むことで、男女間での返還の難しさの違いを表すことの必要性、妥当性を検討することができ、次年度以降のモデル設計やデータセット構築に活かすことが可能になった。次年度以降の研究では、女性の就業関数の中に女性の就業を妨げる要因（子どもの有無など）を加えて推計することを考えている。
