１．医療経済研究の研究者養成ツールの開発：書籍全体の初期翻訳作業を実施した。さらに、単元（第1章から8章）ごとに共同研究者間で翻訳の適切性を確認する作業を進めている。まずは翻訳用語の統一を行ったのち、同一用語に関しては同じ翻訳語を用いるよう共同研究者間でコンセンサスを図った。なお一部の単元の適切性の確認は終了している。２．医療経済研究の実践：プラチナ感受性再発卵巣がん患者におけるコンパニオン診断に基づいたオラパリブ（PARA阻害剤）使用の費用対効果について分析を行った。その結果、2019年10月に第57回日本癌治療学会学術集会（福岡）で発表を行い、優秀演題賞を受賞した。研究結果の概要は下記のとおりである。「コンパニオン診断（CDx）はBRCAゲノムの変異を検出するために使用することで、治療薬を効果的に使用する助けとなる。オラパリブはPARA阻害剤でCDxを実施したうえで臨床上使用する。本研究ではゲムシタビン・シスプラチン併用（GC療法）を比較対照として、医療費支払者の立場からプラチナ感受性再発卵巣がん患者におけるオラパリブ（PARA阻害剤）使用の費用対効果について、CDxの実施未実施で検討を行った。その結果、CDxを実施してオラパリブを使用した場合、GC療法に対してCDｘを実施した場合329,732 yen / QALM（quality-adjusted life month; 質調整生存月）の増分費用対効果比と推計されたが、日本の意思決定基準値（WTP）未満であったことから、費用対効果に優れると判断された。決定論感度分析の結果、上述の結果の頑健性が示され、また確率論感度分析の結果WTP未満の結果が得られる可能性は約90％であると推計された。」
