昨今の新型コロナウィルス感染症の出現に伴い、人と人との接触を避ける時代が到来した。そのような中で、看護において、従来「触れる」という事象は、人々の健康状態を把握する、または、推測する、あるいはケアをするうえで、今なお、重要な位置づけを占めている。「触れる」という事象は、ケアの場において重要な位置づけを占めているが、あまりに日常的かつ感覚的側面が強いため、その現象の構造を明らかにする場合、認識的に明確でない体験の層もデータとして取り扱う必要がある。よって、「触れる/触れられる」という事象の特性をふまえ、その研究の探求方法として現象学的アプローチを手がかりとした。新型コロナウィルス感染症蔓延状況下において、対面でのインタビューに伴う感染リスクを回避するため、予定していたデータ収集方法の変更（研究倫理審査委員会承認済）を行い、無事、データ収集を終了した。データ分析にあたっては、研究協力者の語りから得られたデータの文脈を損なわないよう、語り方にも留意しつつ実施。「触れる/触れられる」という現象の構造について、主体と客体、身体と世界の相互的状況、認識的な身体と感性的な身体、状況特異な事象、接触の２重感覚等についての反転状況を手がかりにしつつ、語りのデータから立ち現れた文脈自体を切り離さないよう留意し、ケア実践における「触れる/触れられる」という事象の構造がどのように成り立っているか分析を実施。現在、分析を進めて行く中で明らかになったこととして、看護師からの「普段の生活について尋ねられること」や「そばにいて、色々声をかけてくれること」によって、当事者が、「早く日常の生活に戻りたいという意欲を引き出し、社会復帰の意欲を高めようとしてくれてたことに気づく」ような体験をしていることが明らかになっている。未だ十分に分析が終了していないため、さらに、分析を進めて行く状況である。
