The Research Training Group aims both to support the training of young scientists and to contribute towards basic research at the medical faculties at the Universities of Bochum, Düsseldorf and Duisburg-Essen. The goal of this intervarsity graduate course is to establish a methodical and thematic collaboration between the Universities in the Rhine-Ruhr area. Thus, a school of expertise is being created in the science of infectious diseases in the Rhine-Ruhr area.
