2019年度にドイツの研究機関で5ヶ月の共同研究を実施し、その後、国際会議にも出席して順調に成果報告を行ってきたが、2020年度、2021年度は新型コロナウイルス感染症のためドイツ渡航ができず、事業を延長してきた。2022年度は米国にて共同研究者らと成果報告会を開催した。2023年度は夏にドイツで共同研究の続きを行い、10月にドイツの学会で報告するほか、1月にドイツの共同研究者4名を日本に招き、シンポジウムを実施予定である。
