Using Imagination to Learn What to Want

本研究は想像（imagination）と欲求（desire）の相互作用についての哲学的探求であり、具体的には、想像、とりわけ、鮮明（vivid）な想像を介して、行為者が欲求すべき内容を学んでいくプロセスを哲学的に解明し、それを“Imaginative Desire-Learning”(IDL)として定式化することを目的としている。最終年度である令和３年度はこれまでの研究成果の取りまとめとアウトプットに力を入れて研究活動を進めた。昨年度に引き続きトップクラスの国際ジャーナル（Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Journal of the American Phiosophical Association, European Journal of Philosophy）での論文掲載などの成果があった。とりわけ、本研究プロジェクトの中心的課題であった欲求と想像力との関係について２つの論文、"How to Keep Up Good Appearances: Desire, Imagination, and the Good" (European Journal of Philosophy)及び、"Desire’s Own Reasons" (Journal of the American Philosophical Association)が出版され、美的鑑賞についての論文"Knowing When to Stop" (Australasian Journal of Philosophy)がアクセプトされた。加えて、Tooming & 宮園の共著論文として以下のものが進行中である。Miyazono.
