Biodiversity, climate and community linkages in socio-ecological production landscapes

To meet the objectives of this research under COVID-related restrictions, the methodology was shifted to GIS-based analysis to supplement earlier field visits. The collected field data from the farmers in Nov 2019 was validated using a normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) based on Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) during a 15-year period from 2004 to 2018, for seven apple-growing locations in the Kinnaur district of Himalayas. This was done in collaboration with National Remote Sensing Centre (India) and a research hire. The paper originating from this research is published in MDPI Agriculture.
