本年度は、主に以下の3つの課題に取り組んだ。①「ラ抜き言葉」の歴史的研究、②可能表現が時に表す評価的用法（例：なかなか飲める酒だ）の歴史的研究、③中世前期から中世末期にかけて可能表現の一角として存在したカナフの可能形式化および（そこからの派生と思われる）当為表現「イデハカナハヌ」の歴史的研究。課題①1の成果は査読付き学会誌に掲載された。ラ抜き言葉が中央語ではなく地方方言として出現したことを方言分布の状況から示し、ラ抜き言葉の成立が早いと目される地域のうち、尾張周辺の地域の方言を取り上げ、その歴史文献を調査した。その際、尾張方言では，中央語（上方・江戸）に約100年先駆けて19世紀初頭にはラ抜き言葉が用いられること、初期は2拍動詞にのみ起こる現象であったこと、尾張では尊敬レル・ラレルの使用が盛んであったこと等に留意し、その成立を「ラ行五段動詞の可能動詞形（ex.おれる）と尊敬レル形（ex.おられる）の意味対立をラ音の有無によるとみなす異分析が生じ，この異分析が2拍一段動詞に過剰適用されたこと」によると推定した。課題②については、近世期の可能表現を取り上げて論じた。近世期文献においては、程度副詞や比較助詞等と共起する可能表現は、可能動詞とデキルにのみ認められる。その場合の可能動詞とデキルは、ともに肯定形で現れるのが主であり、一般に否定形に偏って現れるという可能表現の全体的趨勢とは異なる特徴を有する。また、評価対象は、可能動詞は意味役割上の「対象」が、デキルは意味役割上の「動作主」である。課題②の成果も査読付き学会誌に投稿し、掲載が決定した。また可能表現研究と関連し、動詞カナフを用いた二重否定句「イデハカナハヌ」という当為表現の歴史的使用実態についても調査・報告を行った。こちらはまだ修正中であり、論文投稿にむけて準備を進めている段階である。
