项目摘要

本研究は「インターネットの社会的ネットワークを通じた政治的対話：日仏政治参加の比較実証研究」である。これは、ポスドク研究者Audemard氏の受け入れ先の池田が世界でも数少ないスノーボールサンプリングを通じたソーシャルネットワーク研究の経験が豊富なこと、また日本の政治文化に関する研究を世界価値観調査やアジアンバロメータ調査の日本調査の主査となることで東西の政治文化（特に社会関係資本）の比較研究に専門の重点を置いていること、インターネット上の政治行動に関する研究を多年にわたり継続的に実施していること、この３点により、Audemard博士のアドバイザーとして共同研究を実施してきた。このため、科学研究費では、インターネットのソーシャルメディアであるTwitterとFacebookのいずれかを利用する日本人・フランス人を対象とし、インターネットでの情報の授受、現実と繋がる行動がいかに政治参加や政治知識の獲得に、オフラインとは異なる独特の効果を有するか、オフラインとの競合的ないし加算的な効果を持つのかを、２年次に渡り、両国で言語だけ異なる同一内容の比較社会調査をおこなった。調査の設計・企画・調査票の構成のスタート地点から両者は継続的に検討を続け、データを取得した。分析の途上、論文執筆の途上で繰り返しディスカッションを行い、現在、複数の論文を投稿中である。また、池田の指導の下に、ソーシャルネットワークの方法論的研究とネットワークによる政治動員の研究論文が専門誌に掲載された(1本は既に掲載。1本は年内出版確定　後者の論文は次の通り："Mobilization of partisan resources and the 'friends and neighbors' effect in elections", Political Geography)。
