今年度の研究では、当初、抽象作用を行うような思考する生命有機体の活動と相互作用が、ホワイトヘッドの哲学においてどのように捉えられているのかの検討を目指していた。まずその準備として、自然の諸秩序の生成変化とその原理を論じる「進化の哲学」として彼の哲学を読解することを試みた。しかし考察を進める中で、本研究の主題である抽象作用は、概念的思考ではなく、自然の諸秩序との選択的相互作用という価値的な経験を通じて諸秩序の生成変化に関与する、生命有機体の活動性として捉えられるという仮説を得た。この仮説の検証が、来年度の課題となる。より具体的には、まず、昨年度考察したホワイトヘッドの「思弁哲学」という方法と彼の哲学の進化論的性格との相互補完的関係について、「「生の技法」としての哲学：ホワイトヘッドにおける進化論と哲学の方法」と題して発表した。続いてこの「進化」概念について、近年公刊された講義録の内容を踏まえ多角的な考察を行った。彼の「有機体の哲学」は、自然法則から生態系、生物身体に至るまでの様々な秩序が重層的に「進化」するという「進化の哲学」である。そして、諸有機体による価値の経験という内奥性の次元を経由することで、ホワイトヘッドは人間の経験の秩序、ひいては哲学的思考の生成変化をも進化の射程に収めている。以上を、論文「有機体の哲学にとって「進化」とは何か」にまとめた。以上の作業をする中で、有機体と環境の間の選択的相互作用としての価値の経験が、更なる考察対象として浮上した。そこで、2022年9月から12月にかけてはブリティッシュコロンビア大学哲学科を、2023年1月からはニューヨーク大学総合文化研究科を訪問し、有機体による価値のエナクション（行為的産出）の理論や、現代の分析的価値論とホワイトヘッド哲学との接続を試みている。その暫定的な成果は「価値の経験と有機体論的な心の哲学」と題して発表した。
