There is a common hypothesis "Everything is everywhere, but the environment selects" for the distribution and functioning of microbes. To confirm this hypothesis, the analyses based on data base search and also field samplings were carried out. The targeted assemblages were bacteria in freshwater ecosystem, and green algae on cryosphere.The analyses revealed the simultaneous existence of cosmopolitan- and endemic- clades within closely related microbial assemblages. These results suggested the synergetic effects of dispersal and local environmental niche for the diversity and structure of microbial assemblages. The relative importance of these factors should be further examined in future studies.

对于微生物的分布和功能，有一个共同的假设“万物皆有，但环境选择”。为了证实这一假设，进行了数据库搜索和实地采样的基础上的分析。分析结果表明，在密切相关的微生物群落中同时存在着世界性分支和地方性分支，并以淡水生态系统中的细菌和冰冻圈中的绿色藻类为研究对象。这些结果表明，分散和当地环境生态位的协同作用对微生物群落的多样性和结构。这些因素的相对重要性应在今后的研究中进一步审查。
