本研究は、階層間の教育格差が著しく、国家の体制や社会・経済状態ならびに諸政策等も大きく変化してきた後発開発途上国のミャンマーの約半世紀にわたる 国家発展過程を事例に、階層ごとの個々人の修学状況の推移を分析する。さらにその結果、同国の階層間の教育格差がいかに変動してきたかについて明らかにする。そして、いかなる状況下で教育格差が拡大あるいは縮小するのか、その因果関係とダイナミズムを究明し、SDG4.1達成に資するより具体的な提言の抽出を試みる。研究2年目である2022年度は、本研究対象国のミャンマーの社会主義時代から現在にかけての社会や経済、諸政策等に関する文献調査ならびにデータベースの作成を進めた。加えて、都市部のデータを中心に、本研究課題に関するデータ分析も進めた。

This study analyzes the evolution of educational standards between different levels, the state of the nation's system, the state of society, and the policies of the nation's development in the past half century. As a result, the educational gap between the classes in the same country has changed. Under these circumstances, the gap between education standards is large and narrow, and the causal relationship between education standards is clear and SDG4.1 is achieved. This study aims at the development of the socialist era in China through the year of 2022. The research topic is related to the development of the urban development center.
