近年の乳児の運動発達の未熟化について検討するため、生後10ヵ月の乳児119名とその保護者に対して調査を実施し、継続調査である1歳6ヵ月時調査は50件、最終調査である3歳時調査は13件まで実施した。収集したのは、発達に関する評価（新版K式発達検査2020、KIDS乳幼児発達スケール）および、育児不安質問紙の結果、出生体重等の出生時情報である。既に10ヵ月時調査は予定数を完了しており、引き続き、1歳6ヵ月時調査、3歳時調査を実施していく予定である。2021年度までの新型コロナウイルス感染症の感染拡大や緊急事態宣言・まん延防止等重点措置等に伴う対面調査の中止や延期の影響が残り、現時点でも予定より進捗がやや遅れている。対面調査が実施できなかった期間中は、調査スタッフの養成や、オンライン調査の可能性について検討するなど、あらゆる状況を想定し調査を完遂できるように準備を行った。結果的に、転居等で対面調査に参加できなくなった対象者をオンライン調査でフォローしたり、オンライン調査と対面調査の比較検証が可能なデータを得ることができた。これらのデータは、今後のオンライン調査の可能性を検討する上での有用なデータになるものと期待される。また、現時点で10ヵ月時のデータ収集は完了し、1歳6ヵ月時調査についても一定程度のデータを収集することができたことから、出生体重や出生週数、出生時の両親の年齢と、10ヵ月時点での乳児の運動発達との関連について分析し、今夏に国内外の関連学会にて研究発表を行う方向で調整中である。また、継続調査である1歳6ヵ月時調査、3歳時調査との比較検討についても、随時研究発表を行うように準備を進めている。
