本研究は洞察問題解決における意識的な記憶検索の影響について検討するものである。洞察問題解決を解く問題解決者は，誤った解の方向性に固着してしまい，それによって解決が困難になる。我々の過去の研究は，洞察問題を解いている参加者に画面に呈示された映像の中に問題のヒントが表示されていたことを伝えると，問題解決の成績が低下することを示した（教示の低下効果）。本研究では，教示の低下効果のメカニズムを検討することを目的に3つのオンライン実験を実施した。教示の低下効果は呈示された映像の記憶を検索しようとする認知過程によって起きると考え，ワーキングメモリとの関連性を検討した。3つのオンライン実験の結果，教示の低下効果を再現することはできなかった。またワーキングメモリとの関連性も認められなかった。過去に得られた結果も合わせて考えると，教示の低下効果は，参加者が他者（実験者）からの評価を過剰に意識してしまう（評価懸念）あまりに起きたと考えられる。この結果を東北大学で開かれた電子情報通信学会ヒューマン情報処理研究会で成果を発表した。また，洞察問題解決では答えの知識が解答に影響するため，参加者に繰り返し出題することが困難である。そこで繰り返し洞察問題解決の測定が可能な問題，遠隔連想課題（remote associates test; 以下，RAT）の日本語版を過去に作成した。本課題の一環として，RATの洞察問題としての妥当性を検討した論文を執筆し，受理された。この論文での主張は，日本語版RATのパフォーマンスは洞察問題解決における典型的誤答から逸脱する能力と関連すること，そして，洞察問題を解決する能力は必ずしも一般化できるものではないということである。
