项目摘要

対象とする木材関連企業を、日本経済新聞社が公表している上場企業の業種分類であるNEEDS業種分類小分類のうち、過去10年間にサステナビリティ報告書、統合報告書、CSR報告書、環境・社会報告書等、財務情報以外の非財務情報が記載されている報告書を公開している「製紙・パルプ」5社、「段ボール・板紙」3社、「建築材料（木材）」1社、「建築材料（内装・床材料）」3社を対象にし、これら企業が公表した非財務情報報告書に記載されている環境および社会情報を分析対象とした。初年度、次年度において、木材関連企業が公表している非財務情報報告書を対象にしたテキストマイニングを実施するためのデータベースの構築を行った。これらの非財務情報報告書はPDF形式で公開されていることから、それをテキストデータに変換する作業を行った。構築したデータベースのうち、製紙企業8社を対象として、木材関連企業の環境および社会情報の開示動向を統合報告書に記載されている内容が、グローバル・レポーティング・イニシアチブ（GRI）等から提案されている企業のサステナビリティ活動の評価指標をどの程度言及しているか、その度合いをテキストマイニングによって分析した。GRIの場合、環境に関する6つのテーマ（原材料、エネルギー、水と排水、生物多様性、大気への排出、サプライヤーの環境面でのアセスメント）および社会に関する18のテーマ（雇用、労使関係、労働安全衛生、研修と教育、ダイバーシティと機会均等、非差別、結社の自由と団体交渉、児童労働、強制労働、保安慣行、先住民族の権利、人権アセスメント、地域コミュニティ、サプライヤーの社会面のアセスメント、公共政策、顧客の安全衛生、マーケティングとラベリング、顧客プライバシー）の各評価指標を対象とする。分析ソフトウェアとして、KHCoderを用いた。
