２０２２年度は、『高僧伝』『続高僧伝』について「①人物情報のデータベース化」「②一括検索ツールの構築」「③人物ネットワークの可視化」の作業に取り組んだ。また、本システムを活用した研究成果を発表した。『高僧伝』については、立伝される257人に対して①の作業を完了、関連人物として約１８００人を抽出した。②の入力作業も順調に進んでいる。③に関しては、全人物情報をとりこんだ相関図を作成、現在確認作業中である。『続高僧伝』については、①②③ともに作業継続中である。作業と並行して、仏滅年代論をテーマにとりあげ、本システムを活用した研究論文を公表した。中国における仏滅年代の認識について、多くの情報を残す費長房『歴代三宝紀』の情報を整理した。加えて、『続高僧伝』人物情報データベースの作業結果をもとに、周辺の人物関係を調査した。これによって現在一般的に捉えられている、北周の時代に行われた廃仏が末法思想の流行に繋がったとする直接的な認識には、再考の余地があることを指摘した。
