教育委員会主催の日本語指導力養成研修の講師を務め、実施後に、日本語加配教員(延べ数42）に対して研修の理解度、受講希望する研修内容、日本語指導上の課題についてアンケート調査を実施した。その結果、研修の内容については、小・中学校の教科指導につながる日本語指導の仕方や教材紹介といった具体的な事例も含めた実践的なものにニーズが高いことが分かった。日本語指導上の課題については、管理職・学級担任との校内での連携や巡回校での連携の難しさが挙げられた。これらの結果を次年度の研修内容改善に役立ててもらうように教育委員会に還元した上で、新聞社等メディア（30名）に向けて発信した。また、教育委員会と共に市内の日本語加配教員の配属校へ授業見学・助言といった巡回指導を行うことで日本語加配教員の個別の指導力向上の一助も担った。外国人少人数在籍校である研究協力校は、2022年度に初めて日本語加配教員を配属し、学内で日本語指導に取り組むこととなった。外国につながる子どもへの日本語教育の支援体制づくりは重要であるが、現状では、教職課程に日本語の免許はなく、日本語加配教員は、日本語教育の専門知識がないまま突然担当教員として一任され、戸惑うケースが多い。そのため、新任の日本語加配教員に対して、個別の指導計画作成法や外国人児童生徒のための対話型アセスメントDLAのやり方など個別で指導を行った。学期中には日本語指導や在籍学級の授業見学も行い、児童の言語能力の把握に努め、助言を行った。学期末には、新任の日本語加配教員に対して1年目の日本語指導に対するインタビュー調査を実施した。外国につながる子どもへの教育支援体制づくりのための初年度の地盤を作ることができた。
