2023年度は、既報告資料の整理・分析・考察に加え、現地での資料調査を中心に研究を進めた。既報告資料については、先王朝時代から初期王朝時代、古王国時代の神殿址や関連する祭祀遺構（大型建造部内の礼拝室、墓前祭祀痕跡など）出土の容器類（土器・石製容器・ファイアンス製容器）を対象として、出土容器の組成・器形や系統性・地域性、出土位置の確認、祭祀遺構の年代観の把握などを実施した。また、使用痕跡の報告や後代の碑文史料との比較などから、その用途・機能を復元し、実施された儀礼祭祀の内容（清めの儀礼、供物奉納儀礼など）を推定する試みも着手し始めた。現地調査についてはエジプト南部のヒエラコンポリス遺跡にて資料調査を実施した。先王朝時代から初期王朝時代に営まれた初期神殿址であるHK29A出土の石製容器の実測・写真撮影・計測などを行い、データ化を完了した。また、当初計画していなかったが、サッカラ遺跡の発掘調査への参加の機会に恵まれ、初期王朝時代から古王国時代に属する石製容器の新資料を観察することができた。以上の調査の結果、特に、原王朝から第1王朝初頭の時期において上下エジプト地域間で儀礼用容器の器種や組成が共有され始めていたことを概ね捉えつつある。今年度の研究成果は、儀礼用容器組成の地域的な展開と共有過程、王朝時代における伝統的な儀礼用容器への様式化を素描したことに意義がある（ただし、未だ整理していない既報告資料および未報告資料もあるため、あくまで現時点での成果）。さらに、HK29A出土の未報告資料を多く含む石製容器を資料化し、その神殿内の空間分布の特質や年代的な位置づけなどを明らかにした点が、現地調査における新しい成果として極めて重要である。

This year's research results include: regional development and common process of ritual container composition, historical sketch of ritual container formulation, significance and results of reported data and unreported data. The unreported data unearthed at HK29A include the data of stone containers, the spatial distribution and characteristics of the temple, the location of the site, and the new results of the field investigation.
