令和4年度は主に、マルメロに関する資料収集と、秋田県と長野県に加え青森県にて現地調査を行った。その結果、秋田県では移輸出向けの缶詰加工、長野県では砂糖漬やジャムなど土産向けの製菓や日常の薬種ないし嗜好品での利用がみられた。青森県では秋田県と同様に移輸出向けの缶詰加工が盛んであり、明治期の青森県では水産と並びマルメロが缶詰の主力商品であったことが明らかになった。これらの成果を通じて、マルメロの生産や流通、利用の地域差の実態と、薬種から嗜好品へ一方的に変化したとはいえない様子がみいだされた。この成果は、令和6年2月刊行予定の「人文論究」に掲載予定である。次に、令和5年度以降に予定していた研究内容のうち、北海道にてハスカップにおける資料収集と現地調査を行った。その結果、ハスカップが第二次世界大戦後に特産品化する中でアイヌの不老長寿の果物という話を作って売り出されたが、近年の栄養分析の発達により本当に栄養価が高いと証明され健康食品化した様子が明らかになった。さらに、長野県にてクルミに関する資料収集と現地調査も行った。その結果、クルミの古木は上田市真田地区の寺院の境内に栽植されていたことが明らかになった。関連して、柿などほかの果物にも注目し、長野県伊那地方特産の市田柿についても寺院と伊勢御師の邸宅に原木が存在したことから、宗教者の移動ないし寺社参詣を通じて果物が有益な作物として導入された様子がみいだされた。この成果は、令和5年3月刊行の「関西学院史学」に掲載された。加えて、本研究と関わり実施してきた柑橘の研究についても、和歌山県紀北地方や大阪府泉州地方での資料収集や現地調査を深め、近代移行期に温州蜜柑が不吉と認識された要因や、その後嗜好品として普及した経緯の詳細について新たな知見を得られた。この成果は、令和5年1月刊行の「歴史地理学」に掲載された。

In addition, this study is related to the implementation of citrus research, Wakayama Kihoku and Osaka Prefecture Quanzhou data collection, in-depth investigation, modern migration period of Satsuma mandarin orange is not good luck, understanding of the main reasons, after the hobby, popularity, latitude and detailed information. The results were published in "Historical Geography" in January 2005.
