平成24年度は,柑橘生産・流通の従事者や,海外にて事業を展開した海外移民に関する,日記や書簡,経営帳簿等の収集と分析を進めた。まず,近世中期に成立した柑橘産地の1つである和歌山県海草郡加茂谷(現,海南市下津町)において,産業振興を主導した地元有力者の古文書調査と,古老への聞き取り調査を行い,柑橘生産の普及と輸出の展開を検討した。その結果,加茂谷では明治中・後期より柑橘生産量が拡大し,明治後期には柑橘同業組合を結成して,大正期には北海道やロシア,中国東北地方へと販路を拡張した。とくに,大連方面の問屋と連携し,八ッ代蜜柑という,近代期以降の主力品種である温州蜜柑より質の劣る品種の輸出が隆盛した。本研究を通じて,近代期の東北アジアにおけるグローバルな嗜好品生産や流通,消費の実態の一端が明らかになった。次に,明治期以降に海外移民を送出した和歌山県紀南地方(現,田辺市,串本町等)において,近代期に刊行された新聞や歴史的公文書の調査を行い,明治期における移民送出地域の成立を移民斡旋業者の役割に注目し検討した。その結果,紀南地方では,明治30年代前半に地元有力者や実業家が協力し,厚生移民と森島という2つの移民会社が成立した。明治30年代半ば以降,ハワイや北米への移民送出が制限され,厚生移民は廃業したが,正規の移民会社ではない移民周旋業者や,フィリピンへの遠洋漁業会社と業種を変え,森島と共同して移民送出に従事した。本研究を通じて,移民送出地域の成立における斡旋業者の動向が明らかになった。また,神奈川県足柄下郡において,海外移民の送出をめぐる集落間での送出経緯の相違についての調査研究も行った。

The main varieties of mandarin mandarin, Wenzhou mandarin mandarin and inferior mandarin mandarin, have been exported in recent times. The purpose of this study is to make a clear understanding of the circulation of hobbies in modern times. During the Meiji period, during the Meiji period, overseas immigrants were sent to the south of Wakayama (now Tian Yashi City, Shimamoto-cho, etc.), and in modern times, official documents featuring the history of new Yoshimoto were published. During the Meiji period, immigrants are sent out of the region to set up "immigration mediation", and those who use the service to pay attention to the settlement. As a result, in the early 1930s, in the early half of the Meiji era, the powerful people of the Meiji region made a concerted effort, and the immigration club was established. Since the beginning of the Meiji 1930s, immigrants from the north of the Meiji River have been sent out of the limited labor market, the migrant workers with good health and health care, the regular immigration club, the foreign trade association, the foreign trade association, and the forest community. The purpose of this study is to find out the direction of the movement of those who send immigrants out of the region. In Kanagawa, Kanagawa prefecture is under the control of the prefecture, and overseas immigrants send them out of the cluster and send them out to each other.
