2022年度はまず、ギヨーム・ビュデの書簡研究を進め、彼がいわゆる「文藝共和国」の中でいかなる役割を果すことを企図したのかを明らかにする作業に従事した。ビュデの残存書簡には校訂版は存在せず、1558年にバーゼルで刊行された『全集』中にも全書簡は採録されていないため、第一の作業は、L. Delaruelle作成の書簡一覧を参照しつつ、羅語及び希語で執筆された書簡の整理・収集を行うことに割かれた。この作業の後、書簡本体の分析に取り掛かった。以下の点が明らかになった。(1)1516-1517年の書簡において、ビュデが文藝共和国の第一人者(princeps)の一人と目され、エラスムスといった他の大人文主義者と横の連帯を強調し合い、政治権力からの自律を主張したこと。(2)この相互関係（書簡のみならず互いの著作を読み合い相互批判する関係）の中から、統治階層の知的・道徳的基盤を刷新する共通の試みが現れ出したこと。(3)1518年以降の書簡において、ビュデがこの試みにおけるフランスの大きな後れを自覚し始めたこと。(4)1520年頃からフランソワ一世の庇護を得て、宮廷において自らが「文藝共和国」における共通課題（統治階層に対する知的・道徳的基盤の供給）を果たす重要な役割を担い始めたこと。(5)人文主義者との間で徐々に露見していた不和が1528年に決定的に顕在化し、とりわけエラスムスとの交流が途絶えたこと。以上を前提とし、次に、ビュデの著作（『フィロロジー論』［1532年］）の分析を行った。当該著作はフランソワ一世との対話を回顧的に羅語（ネオ・ラテン）で再現したものである。本著作の分析を通じ、ビュデが王権の助力を得ながら同時代の統治階層にいかに対峙し、どのように自らの新しい統治階層像を定立したのかを明らかにした。以上の成果は、国際研究会での発表と国際誌における査読論文の刊行（近刊）に結実した。
