项目摘要

2022年5月28日（土）にオンラインで開催された日本キリスト教教育学会第34回学会大会で「コメニウスの教育思想に与えたエラスムスの影響」という研究発表をした。コメニウスは、1652年にエラスムスの『学習の方法について』（De ratione studii, 1512）とリンゲルベルク（Joachim van Ringelberg, c. 1499-after 1531）の「学習の方法について」（De ratione studii, 1531）を合本で出版している。その本にコメニウスは序文を書いている。日本キリスト教教育学会第34回学会大会での研究発表は、この事実に基づくもので、論文にまとめて投稿する予定であった。しかし、研究を進めるうちに、コメニウスは単に序文を書いて出版しただけでなく、エラスムスとリンゲルベルクから触発されて『復活したフォルティウス』（Fortius Redivivus, 1652）という著作を書いていることが分かり、論文の投稿を延期して、『復活したフォルティウス』についても研究を進めている。1650年にコメニウスはハンガリーのシャーロシュパタクに移住した。それは、トランシルヴァニアを支配していたラーコーツィ家の招きによるもので、学校改革の仕事に携わることを要請されていた。コメニウスがそこで見たものは、学習意欲を失っている生徒と、そのような生徒に匙を投げている教師たちであった。そこで、コメニウスはエラスムスとリンゲルベルクの『学習の方法について』を出版した。また、『復活したフォルティウス』は、学校から怠惰を追放する方法をシャーロックパタクの教師のために記したものである。コメニウスは、そこで『遊戯学校』（出版は1656年）等も執筆し、演劇による教育を実践した。コメニウスが生徒の自主性を引き出す方法を考案する際にエラスムスの著作に着目した理由を軸に研究した。
