2022年度は、研究を遂行する上で必要となる河井道、周辺の女性リーダーに関する史料の収集と読解を中心的に研究を行った。これら基礎的な史料調査を踏まえて、次の2点について研究成果を報告した。第一に、日本国際政治学会のニューズレターに掲載された研究報告「近代日本外交における女性キリスト者の平和運動 ―婦人平和協会の設立と軍縮に向けた運動に注目して―」（査読あり）である。国際関係論や日本政治外交史におけるジェンダー研究についての問題について言及しつつ、史料調査の結果から見えてきた女性キリスト者知識人による平和運動・軍縮運動の実態について論じた。特に、第一次世界大戦期から戦間期にかけて、男性政治家や外交官とは異なる問題意識を有していたことが明らかになり、河井道らは世論形成を行いながら、日本の外交政策に関与を深めていったことが明らかになった。第二に、仙台国際センターで開催された2022年度日本国際政治学会のジェンダー分科会（A-5）において、戦間期における河井道の対外的実践とそれを支えた思想について研究報告を行った。ジェンダーを専門とする分科会での報告であり、戦間期の女性平和運動とジェンダーについての問題意識を深めることができた。また、これまでほとんど言及されなかった河井道の革命後のロシアでの女性支援の取り組みなど、今後取り組むべき課題を明らかにすることができた。これら研究成果については、日本国際政治学会のWebサイトにて閲覧することができる。
