Element-Specific Electronic, Magnetic and Local Geometric Structure Effects in Mixed Oxide Catalysts (B02)

Project B02 extends element-specific magnetic measurement methods as sensitive probes of electronic and geometric structure modifications to the characterization of (mixed) transition metal oxide catalysts in the liquid phase. In addition, the operando characterization of catalyst materials in the liquid phase are achieved by the setup of an operando measurement cell for Mössbauer spectroscopy studies. Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy is used as new technique to characterize defects in the catalysts.
