本研究では、ユーザが用いるスマホ地図の使用方略にどのようなものが存在するかを明らかにし、それらの方略が経路探索時の認知に影響するメカニズムを解明する。2022年度は、実際の経路探索時にユーザが用いる方略を体系化するため、Web調査を通してスマホ地図使用方略を収集・分類する体制を整えた。具体的には(1)Web調査を用いた効率的で正確なデータ収集方法の確立、(2)予備実験データを用いた、スマホ地図使用方略の言語報告の限界についての検討の2点を実施した。(1)について、本研究では「スマホ地図をどのような場面で、どのように使用するか」、すなわち、「経路やスマホ地図ユーザのどのような特性が原因となって、どのようなスマホ地図使用を引き起こすか」についてのデータを得ることを目的としている。性別や年齢、スマホ地図使用経験といった個人差の検討を行うために大人数の回答者からのデータが必要であり、そのためにWeb調査を用いたデータ収集が必要である。当初はGoogle formsのようなデータ収集プラットフォームを用いてデータを収集する予定であったが、同様の手法を用いた別の研究において、本手法では得られるデータの精度に問題があることが明らかになった。そのため、データ精度を向上させるために、回答者が直感的に回答を行うことが可能なWebフォームを作成し、そのテストを行い、新たな手法の妥当性を検討した。(2)について、実際のスマホ地図使用場面において用いられる方略のうち、言語化が可能な範囲についての検討を行った。(2)においては、2021年度に収集した実際の経路探索における眼球運動データに対するコーディングを行い、経路中のどのような場面でスマホ地図を使用するかや、スマホ地図の使用がどのようなタイムラインで行われるかについての分析を行った。得られたデータを紙地図使用時の地図使用方略と比較し、スマホ地図使用時の地図使用方略の特性について分析した。
