文化的自己観は文化と自己を説明するために用いられ、相互独立的自己観と相互協調的自己観に分類されており、その神経基盤は健常者を対象とした脳画像研究で話題となっている。自閉スペクトラム症（ASD）は対人関係が苦手で強い拘りを有する発達障害の一つであり、一般には相互独立的自己観を有すると考えられているが、相互協調的自己観を有するASDも多く存在することがわかり、その神経基盤に関して脳画像研究はこれまでのところほとんど報告がない。本研究ではMRIを用いて、ASD患者における文化的自己観の関連性を検討し、その病態基盤を解明する。また相互協調的自己観を有するASD患者は発達過程において、集団主義的な思考を強要されるといったトラウマ体験を抱えている可能性があり、その関連性についても検討する。本研究により、ASD児に対する親の養育スタイルを変容させASD児の生活向上につながると期待される。
