医療的ケア児に対する成人移行支援の実践に焦点を当てたレビューを行い、特に在宅で暮らす医療依存度の高い重症心身障害児に対する成人移行支援の位置づけや、医療面及び福祉面の課題を整理した。結果として、移行支援の基盤としての医療体制整備に加えて、医療的ケア児の自律（自立）支援という大きな課題があることが明確になった。重度の知的障害を合併する在宅重症心身障害児においては、地域における医療福祉面を中心とした社会資源や公的支援以外のサポートを活用して、主介護者である親や施設以外で頼れる人や場所、環境を広げていくことで自立生活に向けた支援に結びつける必要がある。重症心身障害児の移行支援のための視点として、セルフケアの維持向上、長期的な見通し、関わる人と情報の連続性を考慮する必要性も示唆された。また、移行準備性を測る評価ツールが、身体障害を持つ子どもの支援に十分対応していないことも明らかになった。これらを踏まえて、脳性麻痺児のための疾患特異的な健康関連QOL尺度である、PedsQL Cerebral Palsy Module日本語版の開発を開始した。これは小児のHRQOL尺度として100以上の言語に翻訳され、国際比較が可能なPedsQLの疾患特異モジュールの一つである。まず、原版開発者から承諾を得て、PedsQLの翻訳ガイドラインに従って、小児科医及び小児科看護師からなる翻訳チームで日本語版の作成を行った。順翻訳はPedsQLコアスケールの構成概念および質問項目との一貫性を留意して行った。逆翻訳は、英語を母国語とする英語と日本語のバイリンガルの翻訳者によって行い、原版開発者による原版との同等性の確認を受けた。次いで、医学研究倫理審査委員会の承認を経て、日本語最終版を確定するために、パイロットテストと尺度項目の解釈に関する認知的インタビューを始めた段階である。
