Workshop for Early Career Investigators: “Ceramic Materials: From Fundamentals to Application“

创新的陶瓷材料开发是设计现代社会可持续、资源节约型工业的重要关键因素。从社会生态、技术和经济的角度来看，今天的陶瓷材料具有极其重要的使能材料功能。在能源和环境技术、汽车和航空航天工程、医疗科学、信息和通信技术、电气工程和工艺/工厂工程方面的高科技系统发展离不开陶瓷关键使能材料和部件。对陶瓷材料在不同空间和时间尺度上的重大结构性能相关性、直接制造和生产过程的未来以及高效的建模和模拟方法的基本理解是德国进一步发展创新的决定性竞争优势。因此，在这一跨学科研究领域内促进高素质青年科学家的工作尤为重要。与指导计划一起，为早期职业研究人员举办的研讨会《陶瓷材料》旨在为训练有素的年轻科学家提供机会，首次设计、规划和实施他们自己的创新和有前途的研究项目。为早期职业研究人员举办的“陶瓷材料”研讨会有助于促进、联网和进一步培训即将到来的学术人才，从而有助于加强陶瓷材料研究领域的科学成就。

Innovative ceramic material developments are an important key element in the design of sustainable, resource-efficient industries of modern society. From a socio-ecological, technical and economic point of view, ceramic materials today have the extremely important function of "enabling material". High-tech system developments in energy and environmental technology, automotive and aerospace engineering, medical science, information and communication technology, electrical engineering and process/plant engineering have been impossible without ceramic key enabling materials and components. The fundamental understanding of ceramic materials with regard to significant structural property correlations on different spatial and time scales, future of direct manufacturing and production processes and efficient modeling and simulation methods are decisive competitive advantages for further development of innovation in Germany. The promotion of highly qualified young scientists within this very interdisciplinary field of research is therefore of particular importance. Together with a mentoring program, the workshop for Early Career Investigators "Ceramic Materials" aims to give excellently trained young scientists the opportunity to design, plan and implement their own innovative and promising research projects for the first time. The workshop for Early Career Investigators "Ceramic Materials" serves the promotion, networking and further training of upcoming academic talents and thereby contributes to the strengthening of scientific excellence in the field of ceramic materials research.
