本研究の目的は,中学生の攻撃的問題行動の兆候に対する,教師の意識の向け方についての個人差を明らかにすることであった.関東甲信越地区の28校の公立中学校に依頼を行い(有効回収率は,73パーセント),同意を得た305名の教諭(男性185名,女性120名)から,無記名の調査への協力が得られた.その結果,最も問題とすべき危険な兆候は,「服装や頭髪などの校則違反」や「校外でのトラブル」であることが確認された.ついで,「友人関係のトラブル」,「自己中心的態度の増加」,「教師に対する反抗的言動」,「学校活動に対する意欲低下」,「信頼関係の築きにくさ」,「家庭の事情の悪化」,「感情表出の低下」なども,比較的選択率が高かった.被選択率がきわめて低いのは,「依存傾向」,「学力低下」,「動作の遅さ」,「緊張の強さ」,「落ち着きのなさ」などであった.これら,危険な兆候の選択率において,教職年齢や性別は,関連しなかった.さらに,カイ自乗検定による解析を行った結果,教師の「危機感」の抱き方は,「学校内外でのトラブルや規範逸脱などに対してより強く向かう」タイプ,「自分勝手な言動に対してより強く向かうタイプ」,「意欲や感情表出に強く向かう」タイプに大きくわけられることが示された.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the problem of aggression among middle school students, and the direction of teachers 'consciousness. In 28 public high schools in Kanto, Japan, the response rate was 73 percent, and 305 teachers (185 males and 120 females) were accepted.
