研究目的2008年に告示された中学校学習指導要領(保健体育)における改訂の大きなポイントは武道が必修化となったことである。周知の通り武道とりわけ柔道では、過去に発生した重大事故からその危険性がクローズアップされている。しかし、そのほとんどは授業中ではなく部活動中に発生したものであるが、学校管理下で起こった事故であることは否定できないし、授業で起こる可能性は否めない。そこで本研究では、武道領域における全国的な単元の実施時間に即したカリキュラムを立案して、その実現可能性について検討した。研究方法日本武道館の調査(2015)によると平成24年度の武道領域における全国的な単元の実施時間は9.8時間であることが報告されている。そこで本研究では、柔道を初めて履修する中学生を対象として、安全で特性を味わうことのできる10時間のカリキュラムを検討した。特に投げ技の指導内容を足技は「膝車」、腰技は「大腰」、手技は「体落し」に焦点化した。そのうえで、柔道の基礎知識、基本動作、受け身、固め技を含めた学習過程を実践し、生徒の形成的授業評価や技能評価から学習指導における課題について検討した。研究成果生徒の形成的授業評価から、男女ともに学習過程が進むにつれて評価得点(成果、意欲・関心、学び方、協力)が向上する傾向が示された。従って、生徒の実態に応じた安全性の確保と格闘形式で行われる種目特性を吟味したカリキュラムを検討した本研究は、一定の成果があったと判断できる。しかし、技能評価では男子は「大腰」に比して「体落し」、女子では「膝車」や「大腰」に比して「体落し」の技別習熟度における評価得点が低いことが示されたことから、初めて柔道を履修する中学生にとっては、「体落し」の学習指導が課題であることが示唆された。
