特別支援学校高等部卒業後、一般就職する生徒が増加する一方、離職をする生徒も増加傾向にある。本研究では、学校と関係機関のアフターフォローの在り方について、企業、卒業生、関係機関の立場からの現状と課題を整理し学校としての関わり方を明らかにすることを目的とする。本校卒業生が一般就労するために力をつける場所として大学内に設置された鳥取大学ファーストジョブ支援室は、学校卒業後の育ちを継続してみることができ、在学中の教育やアフターフォローの在り方について検証することができる。そこで、ファーストジョブ支援室に就労支援員を雇用し、過去5年間の卒業生の進路先を訪問し、卒業生、企業、関係機関への聞き取り調査を行った。聞き取り調査の結果、企業からは、「生活面を含めた配慮事項等必要な情報を教えてほしい。」「アフターフォローでは、学校と関係機関が連携して、企業の困っていることに具体的な方策を提案してほしい。」ということなどがあった。本校では、個別の移行支援計画を作成し移行支援会議で引き継ぎを行っているが、就職後、個別の移行支援計画が活用されていない実態があり、その様式や作成・活用方法などを検討していく必要性が明らかになった。卒業生や関係機関の聞き取りからは、卒業後1年目は学校が卒業生と関係機関のつなぎの役割をしていく必要があることが再認識できた。また、企業から、「学校の進路指導で適切なマッチングをしてほしい。」「在学中に身につけておいてほしいことなど、企業のニーズを把握してほしい。」ということなどがあった。生徒が働き続けるために、働くことの理解、基本的生活・労働習慣、自己理解などを在学中に身につけておくことが大切だと感じた。卒業生が働くことに喜びを持ち、社会の一員として豊かに生きていけるよう、ファーストジョブ支援室をモデルとしながら在学中のキャリア教育の在り方についても引き続き研究していきたい。
