项目摘要

【目的】大学生の援助希求をすくい上げるアウトリーチ活動の効果と有効性を検証する。具体的には①学生相談室の役割とカウンセラーの専門性、そして提供できるサービス内容を周知すること、②メンタルヘルスに関する予防・啓発活動を行うことの2観点から、学生相談室への援助希求のしやすさにつながる活動を明らかにしていきたい。【方法】希死念慮を抱える学生を学生相談室へ紹介あるいは来談を勧めた経験のある学生4名及び教員3名について、半構造化面接にて、以下の項目を尋ねた。(1)学生相談室を知った経路や手段(2)相手との関係性(3)紹介しようと思った理由・きっかけ・その根拠となる相手の様子(4)勧める際の具体的な声がけや働きかけ(5)勧めるまでに誰かに相談や支援を求めたか。さらに、学生相談室の行うアウトリーチ活動(2015, 田中)を提示し、学生相談室への援助希求しやすさへの寄与度を尋ねた。【成果】本人に代わって援助希求を行った経験のある人においては、学生、教員ともに早い段階(入学時や着任時)で学生相談室の存在や役割についての正確な認識を得ていた。これより、入学時や年度初めに全員を対象として行うガイダンスや健康調査はアウトリーチ活動として有効と考えられる。特に学生では、学生相談室の役割に加えてカウンセラーの顔や印象を知っていることが、駆け込む場所として機能することに繋がっている。また来室を勧める時には、表情や雰囲気への違和感、身体的症状、人間関係の変化など多彩なサインを受け取っていた。これは、メンタルヘルスに関する研修会やゲートキーパー教育が有効であることを示している。一方、相談室への来室に繋げたことでレッテルを貼ってしまった、自分の紹介がもっと早ければ予後が良かったのではないかとの思いも語られた。アウトリーチ活動においては、全体への予防啓発に加えて、実際に来談した人たちへのフォローアップの視点も必要との示唆が得られた。
