研究者は「地域の暮らし-空き屋を活かす-」をテーマに伊勢神宮の問屋街として栄えた伊勢河崎地区の空き家再生プロジェクトの研究を進めている。昨年度は、高校生の視点で空き蔵を立礼式茶室にリノベーションする再生案を提案した。本研究は、伊勢地域における茶室に関する歴史的資料の収集と高校生が利用する立礼席茶室の提案をまとめた。■研究内容 本研究が取り上げた地域は、伊勢市中心市街地活性化協議会の河崎まちなみにぎわい事業エリアである。この事業の一環として高校生が再生案を住民に説明をすることで市民の保存活用事業への関心が高まり、これからのまちづくりに若い意見が反映される契機となることを目的とした。■研究の流れ 研究の導入として、県下の高校にある茶道部の数を調査することから始め、最終的に調査の領域を広げ東海地区全域(愛知、岐阜、三重、静岡)を対象とした。顕著な特徴としては伊勢地域の茶道部の現存率が高いことがわかった。次に、この地に茶道が普及した手がかりをつかむために、河崎地域の暮らしに詳しい地元のNPOから資料をもらい、立礼式茶室の活用例をまとめた。設計例はプレゼンでわかりやすいようにCGで表現した。続いて、歴史的な茶文化の流れを把握するために、江戸時代からの茶文化をまとめた「伊勢茶道史」を調べた。当時、伊勢で誕生した杉木普斎という茶人がこので茶を始め、その後に、町人文化に広めた。現在も茶室が残っている河崎地区は、問屋街として栄えた当時の面影が残る街で、おもてなしとしての茶文化が発展していたことがわかった。■まとめ 本研究では、伊勢の茶文化の資料収集を基にして、伊勢河崎の歴史的空き蔵を高校生がもてなす立礼式茶室にリノベーションする計画案の提案をし、地元の高校生が地域の暮らしに関心を持つ契機となった。
