1.研究目的帰国生徒が必修授業以外の時間で、短期間に効率よく、授業に必要な日本語の土台を築くため、2006年度の本校での「読むこと」に焦点化した研究を基に、教材に視覚的工夫をさらに多く取り入れ、文章の理解を促すことで読解力を伸ばす教材を作成することを目的とした。2.研究方法帰国生徒のうち、初級日本語の能力は持っているが教科学習は十分でない生徒を対象とし、放課後週に1度補習時間をとって研究をすすめることとした。教材は、小学校高学年、ヤングアダルトなどの書籍の中から説明文と物語文の二種を選び、その一部をスキャンし、スマートボードを使って読解指導をおこなう。何回か指導を行なった後、スマートボードを用いた授業を受けた生徒とそうでない生徒の読解力を診断テストによって比較することとした。3.研究結果当初決定していた対象生徒の転出により、上記の計画を大きく変更せざるを得なくなった。9月に編入してきた生徒のうち1名を対象生徒と設定し直し、初級日本語の能力が十分に備わっていると判断できるまでしばらく待った。その間に一般学級でスマートボードを使用した授業を2回行った。この授業結果より、どの学級でも、スマートボードを用いることにより、教科書の説明時間を通常より短縮することが可能であるとわかった。また、特に、実技を伴う場合の説明時間を短縮することができた。この結果より、スマートボードを用いた指導のほうが、生徒の教科書の読解も速やかに進むといえる。次に、対象生徒の日本語力が初級程度であることを確認し、スマートボードを用いて同じ授業を行なった。その後、診断テストを行い、一般生徒との学習内容の理解を比較した。その結果、筆記テストでは一般生徒の学習理解が対象生徒より高い結果となったが、口頭テストでは対象生徒も同様の理解の高さを示した。この結果と2006年度までの研究の成果より、帰国生徒は説明文のほうが理解しやすいのではないかと予想できる。そこで、次年度には、今年度行なうことができなかった物語文の読解力を高める方法の開発と今年度の予想の検証を、引き続きスマートボードで行なっていくことにする。この研究は未完のため、研究成果の発表は次年度以降に行なう予定である。
