研究目的紀伊半島東部に位置し和歌山県の中部にみられる石灰岩地域を対象に,蘚苔類の分類生態学的研究を行った。今回は基礎調査として,日高郡由良町を中心に石灰岩地の場所の特定から始まり,現地での確認を行いながら,蘚苔類相の解明並びに生育環境の把握を行うことを目的とした。さらに好石灰岩種と言われる種の分布状況などについての状況把握を目的とした。研究方法野外作業として,調査地域である県中部地域の蘚苔類を採集し,標本として作成するとともに現地での生態写真の撮影を行い生育状況の記録に務めた。室内作業は採集標本の作成の後,光学顕微鏡を使って種の同定を行い,周辺地域及び国内の資料記録など照合や生育環境についての考察を行った。研究成果及び課題その結果,石灰岩地は点在した場所に限定され,本地域には果樹園(ミカン畑)が多く,地図に落とせるほどの面積を伴わないことが分かった。また蘚苔類相の概要としてみた場合に,地域全体が乾燥していて,生育量も貧弱な地点が多く見受けられた。その中で,蘚類のハリイシバイゴケMolendoa sendtneriana(センボンゴケ科)やタチヒラゴケHomaliadelphus targionianus(ヒラゴケ科)などの石灰岩や石灰質の多い岩上に生育する種が確認され,また蘚類のキブリハネゴケ属の一種Pinnatella sp.(ハネゴケ科)が石灰岩上で採集された。本種は,植物体が小形で葉間に棒状の長い無性芽を付けているのが特徴であるが,同属に該当する種が見あたらなく,現在本属の文献を取り寄せて検討中で,近く専門家にも同定依頼を行い,種の確定に向けて作業を続けていきたい。現在のところ絶滅危惧に相当する種の特定には至らなかったが,好石灰岩種の生育が何種か確認できたことに加え,興味深いキブリハネゴケ属の一種が本地域に生育することが明らかになった。今後もこの地域に着目し,継続して調査し記録を残していく必要があると思われる。そしてこれらを含む種群をまとめ,「紀伊半島産の興味ある蘚苔類V」として雑誌『南紀生物』の次号に発表することを考えている。

Objective: To study the taxonomic ecology of mosses in the eastern part of the Kii Peninsula, located in the central part of Wakayama Prefecture. In the middle of the year, the mosses of the genus Molendoa sendtneriana(family) were identified as Homaliadelphus targionianus(family), a species of the genus Pinnatella sp. ( This species is characterized by small plant bodies, rod-like long asexual buds between leaves, and the identification of species. Now, the extinction danger is equivalent to the specific species, which is confirmed by the good limestone species. The interest is deep in the middle of the forest. The genus belongs to a species that is native to the region. In the future, we will focus on the investigation and record the necessary information. The species of the species is named "Keiji" and "Nanji" is named "Keiji".
