本研究は、作業者の居住環境地域(地域によりといの構造が異なる)を考慮し、年齢・性別に関わりなく単独でも雨どいの清掃が安全に行える方法を、研究論文の検索、実際に製品として販売されている器具の調査、木造住宅における雨どいの実地見分を行い、器具作成のための基礎資料を作成する。その結果に基づき最適な部品・器具を開発し、開発機器の効果を実証し併せて知的財産に登録することを目的とした。■研究実施内容(1)雨どいに関する研究論文の検索(JDreamll),Webによる市販製品機器の調査(2)設置環境の現地調査確認・撮影と電子データベース化・住宅立地環境よる差異・材質、軒高、設置延べ長さ・落ち葉の種類と量、・落ち葉以外のごみ、土砂などの種類と量・通常実清掃頻度・写真による記録(3)除去方法別に最適処理法の探索(方法別デシジョンテーブルの作成)・(a)吸込む方法、(b)掻き集める方法、(c)吹飛ばす方法、(d)それらの混合方法を検討・既存機器で不十分な部品機能・器具性能を明確化する(4)必要な部品器具の設計作成・除去方法別に必要な部品(アタッチメント)に創意工夫の力点をおいて器具を設計、製作(5)家庭での実践可能な最適方法の提示・既存機器を利用した限定的清掃案・新規開発部品器具を利用した改良清掃案(6)設置環境調査場所での実践・里山、田園地帯、海岸部、新興住宅地、山間地など5種類の異なった環境で実施(7)知的所有権申請への試み・特許または実用新案を目指して弁理士に相談、登録維持等の経費と利益との得失を考慮し断念した。
