【研究目的】新しい学習指導要領で「我が国の美術についての学習を重視し,美術文化の継承と創造への関心を高める」ことの重要性が指摘されている。一方で,カリキュラム上の位置付けや具体的な教材の準備,外部の人材との連携をどう進めるかなど,学習効果を上げるためには課題も少なくない。そこで本研究は,地域の文化財への理解を促すために,地域の文化財・美術館と連携して,どのような授業展開をすればよいか,準備する教材の内容,活動内容の設定,教師と外部人材の適切な役割について研究することが目的である。【研究方法】平成17年度から実践を始めた「大津の宝:蘆花浅水荘(ろかせんすいそう)を味わおう」の授業の工夫・改善に取り組んだ。本校の学区内に存在する「蘆花浅水荘」は,山元春挙(大津市出身の日本画家)が大正中期に琵琶湖岸に建てた別荘で,近代の和風建築や,山元春挙の画業などに親しむことができる貴重な文化財(大津市指定名勝,重要文化財)である。これまでの実践では,教室で資料を提示してクイズ形式の授業を進めていたが、蘆花浅水荘管理者の山元寛昭氏と連携を進めて次のような授業改善に取り組んだ。(1) 授業後に実際に蘆花浅水荘を訪れる機会を設定する。(2) 山元寛昭氏に施設を案内していただき,説明を聞く。(3) 生徒に写真撮影させて,能動的な見方を引き出す。【研究成果】教室で学習するだけにとどまらず,上記のような工夫改善を行った結果,特に以下の3点について,顕著な効果が認められた。(1) 蘆花浅水荘の建物に入り,その空間づくりの面白さについて理解を深められた。(2) 山元春挙の存在を身近に感じるとともに,文化財を守る思いを知ることができた。(3) カメラのレンズを通して見ることによって,対象をより丁寧に観察することができた。
