【研究目的】2008年3月に告示された新しい中学校学習指導要領の中で「各学年の「B鑑賞」の題材については,日本及び諸外国の児童生徒の作品,アジアの文化遺産についても取り上げるとともに,美術館・博物館等の施設や文化財などを積極的に活用するようにすること。」(第二章第二節美術)が指摘されている。そこで美術科の鑑賞の授業において,地域の文化財への理解を促すために,どのような授業展開をすればよいか,準備する教材や活動内容の設定,作品提示の方法などについて研究することが目的である。【研究方法】平成12年度から継続して取り組んできた「石山寺縁起絵巻(重要文化財)」の鑑賞授業の工夫・改善を図った。「石山寺縁起絵巻」は校区に近い石山寺に所蔵されている。「絵巻」というだけで古くて地味なものと考えてしまい,その表現様式の面白さや値打ちに気付いていない生徒も多かった。これまでの授業では,絵巻の一部分を複製したカラー資料を準備し,細部にわたって読み取っていく活動を設定してきたが,鑑賞者自らが絵を広げ,巻き取りながら読み進めるという絵巻本来の味わい方を十分理解させるには至らなかった。そこでカラー資料を作成し直して、作品の色鮮やかさをできるだけ忠実に再現した。また原寸大の複製絵巻を準備するとともに,画面を展開しながら見せる提示スタンドを開発して、絵巻を巻きながら鑑賞できるように工夫した。【研究成果】上記のような工夫改善を行った結果,特に以下のような点について,顕著な効果が認められた。(1)絵巻を巻き取りながら鑑賞することにより、時間の流れを表現する画面構成について理解を深められた。(2)絵巻の色の鮮やかさや絵師の工夫を実感させ,郷土にある文化財のよさに気付かせることができた。
