项目摘要

○研究の目的北海道南部の拠点的中世城館について、その遺構配置・規模・構造を解明する。○研究の方法【調査対象】資料の蓄積が少なく、実態について不明な点の多い北斗市茂別館及び矢不来館とする。【調査手順】(1) 先行研究精査、地籍図調査(2) 矢不来館西側出入り口周辺測量調査(3) 茂別館～矢不来館間の道路跡現地調査(4) 資料整理・報告○研究成果(1) 地籍図調査により、茂別館と矢不来館をつなぐ道路跡と考えられる旧地名の存在が明らかとなり、さらに現地踏査によりその存在を確認した。(2) 矢不来館西側出入り口周辺の測量調査により、精確な平面図・断面図を作成した。(3) (1)より、隣接して位置する茂別館と矢不来館の密接な関係の一端が実証された。(4) (2)より、これまで搦手と考えられてきた矢不来館跡西側が大規模かっ緻密な計算に基づき構築されていたことが判明し、矢不来館跡が海側(東側)ではなく内陸側(西側)を意識して構築された可能性が高まった。
